Collar Details. The collar is over 4mm thick, it has a nice weight but is flexible and comfortable to wear. 19mm Spring loaded sterling silver padlock clasp, resembles and passes for a padlock. Handmade round end bezels, for comfort. With closing loops that can accommodate a small real padlock of your own if you desire. All parts sterling silver soldered no glue or epoxy used. No screws or rivets. All fixed parts sterling silver soldered and fine finished. No Nickel or Zinc, only premium European grade 925 Sterling Silver.
The Collars Design History
After years of experimenting, I have designed this as a flexible one-piece collar.
The beauty of this design. Is that the 2mm round wire core is protected from excessive metal fatigue and breakage, by the outer layer of 1mm coiled, flexible wire. An average of 12 feet (3.66 m) of sterling wire is used in every collar.
The outer layer spreads the effect across the collar. The collar is entirely handmade, by me and is a time-consuming process that takes place over several stages. The result is an elegant collar, that with reasonable care, will last a lifetime and is stunning to wear.
Handcrafted from pure Sterling silver. The collar can be worn lock at front or back. An elegant, beautiful collar that can be worn daily or just for special occasions.
